User Agreement & Student Code of Conduct

Welcome to Intellectus. This User Agreement and Student Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behavior, responsibilities, and ethical guidelines expected from all users of the Intellectus platform.

By accessing or using Intellectus, enrolling in courses, participating in quizzes, earning points, or sharing notes, you agree to comply with this Code of Conduct. This policy exists to maintain a respectful, fair, and productive learning environment for everyone.

1. Purpose of This Code

Intellectus is an educational platform built on integrity, collaboration, and growth. This Code of Conduct is designed to:

  • Promote respectful and inclusive behavior
  • Protect academic honesty
  • Ensure fair use of platform features
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning community

2. Expected Standards of Behavior

All users are expected to:

  • Treat others with respect, professionalism, and courtesy
  • Communicate in a constructive and appropriate manner
  • Respect diversity of opinions, backgrounds, and cultures
  • Use the platform strictly for educational purposes
  • Follow all applicable laws, platform rules, and policies

Any behavior that disrupts the learning experience of others is strictly prohibited.

3. Academic Integrity & No Plagiarism

Intellectus maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward academic dishonesty.

Users must:

  • Submit original work in quizzes, assignments, and assessments
  • Properly credit sources when sharing notes or materials
  • Avoid copying, duplicating, or redistributing content without permission
  • Refrain from using unfair means to gain academic advantage

Plagiarism, impersonation, or unauthorized collaboration is a serious violation of this agreement.

4. Quizzes, Points & Fair Usage

To ensure fairness:

  • Users must complete quizzes independently unless collaboration is explicitly allowed
  • Manipulation of quiz systems, scores, or point mechanisms is prohibited
  • Creating multiple accounts to gain points or rewards is not allowed
  • Exploiting bugs or loopholes for personal gain is strictly forbidden

Any attempt to cheat or manipulate systems may result in penalties.

5. Note Sharing & User-Generated Content

Intellectus encourages collaborative learning through note sharing.

However, users must ensure that:

  • Shared notes are educational and appropriate
  • Content does not violate copyright laws
  • Materials do not contain harmful, offensive, or misleading information
  • Uploads respect the intellectual property of others

Intellectus reserves the right to review, remove, or restrict access to shared content that violates this policy.

6. Prohibited Conduct

The following actions are strictly prohibited:

  • Harassment, bullying, hate speech, or abusive language
  • Threats, intimidation, or personal attacks
  • Posting spam, malicious links, or irrelevant promotional content
  • Attempting to hack, disrupt, or damage the platform
  • Misuse of platform features for non-educational purposes

7. Consequences of Violations

Violation of this User Agreement may result in one or more of the following actions:

  • Warning or formal notice
  • Removal of content
  • Temporary suspension of account access
  • Reset or loss of points and achievements
  • Permanent termination of account

The severity of the action will depend on the nature and frequency of the violation.

8. Reporting Violations

Users are encouraged to report any behavior or content that violates this Code of Conduct. Reports can be submitted through the platform or by contacting support.

All reports will be reviewed fairly and confidentially.

9. Amendments to This Policy

Intellectus reserves the right to update or modify this User Agreement and Student Code of Conduct at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting.

Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
